History of Patron

The following information is provided by www.patron.com

In 1989 two visionaries, Paul Mitchell Systems co-founder John Paul DeJoria, and entrepreneur Martin Crowley formed The Patrón Spirits Company with the singular goal of producing “the best tequila in the world.”

They took the 100% pure Weaber blue agave, grown in the hills of Jalisco Mexico, and blended traditional techniques with modern technology. They created the world’s first ultra-premium tequila.

Under the stewardship of DeJoria and former Seagram executive Ed Brown, a new distilling and bottling factory was built in Jalisco. With the guidance of the renowned master distiller Francisco Alcaraz, the new factory (the Hacienda del Patrón) was designed to be state-of-the-art with a core steeped in tradition.

Patrón Tequila is today the world’s number one ultra-premium tequila, available in more than 100 countries across the globe.

Patrón Tequila has been recognized with numerous honors, including the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences “Five Star Diamond” award, Impact Magazine’s “Hot Brand of the Year” award, “Company of the Year” honors from the Beverage Forum, “Spirit Brand of the Year” from Market Watch Magazine, inclusion in AdvertisingAge Magazine’s “Marketing 50” list, and a Drinks International “Travel Retail Excellence” award.

History of Liquor Gear.com LLC

Liquor Gear.com is a website that was created by an individual by the name of Jason Ballay who was a liquor buyer for a large retail company in Louisiana. In 2004 the retail company decided to pull out of the south forcing him to make a decision to move with the company or stay with his family and friends. Jason decided to stay with his family / friends and pursue his dreams of being an entrepreneur and passion for the liquor merchandise and bar decor industry and that is when www.liquorgear.com was born.

2005 – Started to get the ball rolling on finding items to sell and coming up with different ideas on how to make the site better while doing all the programming myself. Then Hurricane Katrina hit and this set me back for 2 years as you can see. I lost focused of my goals and dreams.
2006 – Not too much was done with Liquor Gear researched and worked on the site here and there while rebuilding my home.
2007 – The end of 2007 I decided where I wanted to go with the site and what products I wanted to sell. Liquor Gear.com became a LLC, registered with a couple of wholesalers and a dropshipper.
2008 – Beginning of 08 registered with more suppliers and a couple of  months later had my first sale.

How to build a Eel Aquarium for your bar.

liq2.jpg

”Moray EELS are hardy, fascinating fishes that can do well, even under a beginner’s care. Unfortunately, many species grow much too large for most aquariums. For the short term, an eel makes an interesting addition, but be prepared to move it or step up to a larger system when it starts to mature. Moray eels generally have poor eyesight but a superior sense of smell, so in a tank they need to be fed directly, otherwise the faster fishes in the tank will out-compete them for food. The best method is to spear a piece of shrimp or squid on a feeding stick and place it near the eel’s lair or wiggle it until the eel emerges to take the item. (Hand-feeding is not recommended.)”

“A tank housing moray eels must be completely sealed-these agile animals will escape through even the smallest opening….more info in his book” “The New Marine Aquarium”.
